Where Was The Bush Team When It Counted? They Won't Say

We have previously discussed how many members of the Bush team were MIA during the critical window of time when the federal response could have made the most difference.

Here's more detail of the whereabouts of Bush folks:

One reason for the slow White House response, said a Republican who has been in contact with several officials, is that so many high-level officials and aides were on vacation. Vice President Cheney, for instance, was in Wyoming and did not return unil Thursday, and Nicolle Devenish, the president's top communications adviser, is getting married in Greece with a number of mid-level aides in attendance.

Once again, we urge the Bush administration to voluntarily release the detailed public schedules for Bush, Cheney, the Cabinet, and all senior staff for the 72 hours before and after Hurricane Katrina so we can see how they spent their time in preparation for the hurricane and in the critical window afterwards.
